People and Skills Network Wales

The CBI’s People & Skills Network is a local and national cross-economy network for senior leaders with an interest in the people agenda and the future of work. It exists to promote the diffusion of political intelligence and ‘what works’ insights on the top workforce issues of the day. This is achieved through a combination of in-person networking and intelligence sharing events in each of the UK’s regions and nations, and whole-community events that drill deeper into topics like recruitment, engagement & retention in a tight labour market, how to have impact when investing in skills, and creating an inclusive workplace.

Discussion topic for your next regional People and Skills Network:

With a general election due within the next year, join this in-person intelligence sharing event to top up your horizon scanning by hearing from the CBI’s policy team about what a new government could mean for the UK labour market.

The CBI’s current top policy priority is sharing business experiences to inform the development of the manifestos of political parties ahead of the next election. At this event you will hear about and be able to give feedback on Labour’s plans for labour market reform – where member insights shared earlier this year have already changed some of their plans.  You will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the latest ideas proposed by conservative policy influencers and receive updates on what to expect from the Chancellor's Autumn Budget.

You will benefit from this event if you are a:

  • Senior leaders with a passion for people and the future of work
  • Chief People Officer
  • HR Director
  • Director of People
  • Senior leader with a people interest
  • Diversity and Inclusion Lead
  • Senior Talent Acquisition professionals
  • Senior L&D Professionals
