Join us for the virtual report launch of the CBI/KPMG Scottish Productivity Index 2020 on Monday 7 December at 14:00 – 15:15. It will include a presentation of this year’s findings and a keynote from Fiona Hyslop MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Fair Work and Culture.
The Scottish Productivity Index is an annual report that sets out to measure and benchmark Scotland’s performance across a series of key productivity driving measures. It is informed by insights from CBI members, KPMG and the Fraser of Allander Institute with a view to understand ‘what works’ in addressing the weak levels of productivity growth that have held back the Scottish economy for decades.
This year discussions have taken place during the COVID-19 pandemic and reflections on how that has impacted individuals and businesses form an important part of this year’s report.
The CBI/KPMG Scottish Productivity Index 2020 represents the next step in CBI Scotland’s ongoing campaign to boost productivity across all parts of Scotland and follows the inaugural Index report in 2019, the publication of 2017’s landmark Pursuing Prosperity report and KPMG’s Improving UK Regional Productivity Performance report.
