Join us for a briefing on ethnic and racial diversity and inclusion, and what it means for your business, your customers and your community – no matter the size or sector.
Exclusively for the West Suffolk Business Festival, delegates will receive a briefing on two Ethnic and Racial diversity campaigns for business launched in the last 12 months.
Change the Race Ratio is a campaign initiated by the CBI to accelerate ethnic diversity in boards and senior leadership. Open to everyone. Closed to racism is a membership organisation founded in Southwold, Suffolk. It helps small business owners and their teams to be more confident in standing against racism inside and outside of their business.
Richard DeNetto, the CBI’s lead for Change the Race Ratio will share with you the rational for starting the campaign, how businesses joining the campaign are being supported to achieve the commitments, and crucially some insights on what’s working to accelerate change.
Jessica Gregson, founder of Open to everyone. Closed to racism will share some background to the initiative and give examples and ideas from other businesses, and from the inclusion consultancies that she partners with, of things you can do to help open up the conversation in your business and to create more inclusive environments for teams and customers alike.
The CBI are proud partners of the West Suffolk Business Festival, a fortnight of events and activities to bring businesses leaders in West Suffolk together to network, share best practice, make new connections and gain new insights. This year’s festival runs from October 4 – 15.
