The CBI is working to support the development of a world-class economic cluster in every nation and region of the UK. Universities will be mission critical to this objective: anchoring jobs, investment, skills, and innovation and empowering regional economies to play to their strengths.

Join us as we explore the role for universities in supporting successful business clusters as a motor for levelling up.

Attend this event and you will:

  • Hear from Lord Karan Bilimoria CBE DL, President, CBI on the role and impact of universities in the CBI’s economic cluster work
  • Shape CBI thinking on the role of universities as anchors for cluster development in the UK
  • Engage with CBI policy teams on key areas of concern, including the Levelling Up White Paper, the government’s innovation strategy, and the Skills and Post-16 Education Bill
  • Feedback on challenges and concerns from within the sector and how the CBI can support
  • Gain insights from peers about their practices and lessons learned.
