Why its time to make employee health a top business priority

As part of the West Suffolk Business Festival join the CBI’s Health Director, Jordan Cummins to hear more about the workforce health journey.

131 million working days a year are lost due to ill-health, costing £100bn annually to the UK economy and impacting business productivity massively. As a result of the last two years, business focus on health and wellbeing has become under a spotlight. With a tight labour market and employee expectations still rising – are businesses doing enough to support their employees? This session will explore the workforce health journey for firms and to learn how the CBI is helping businesses champion employee health.

The virtual event will be led by the CBI’s Health Director, and feature local businesses including West Suffolk College.

This event will:

  • Explore the importance of employee health and increasing need for a strong EVP.
  • Showcase the CBIs latest project creating a Workforce Health Index to benchmark their employee health offer to drive health, productivity and talent.
  • Feature a panel discussion on workforce health, labour market and productivity.
