Women in Leadership (South West)

Join us, along with our speaker Alice Williams, VP Strategy, Schneider Electric, in strategic partnership with TLT.

Alice leads strategy and development at Schneider Electric and prior to this, Alice spent 9 years serving as a commissioned officer within the British Army, conducting, primarily intelligence and reconnaissance-based roles in Afghanistan, Malaysia and Ghana.

Alice will provide insight about business responsibility for sustainability and embedding sustainability strategies that avoid widening the gender gap. She will also share her experiences on strategy development and execution at Board level, the role of information and insight in delivering strategic outcomes and enabling effective culture building.

Launched in 2015 CBI South West’s Women in Leadership Lunch is aimed at female executives, or women a maximum of five years from Board. Its purpose is to hear from an expert speaker, share good practice and develop networks. Past speakers and topics have included Sarah Bates, Chairman of St James’s Place ‘Boardroom Politics’, Karen Witts, CFO, Kingfisher ‘Life in the FTSE 100’, Susan Acland-Hood, Director of Enterprise at the Treasury ‘The Productivity Puzzle’ and Carolyn Fairbairn, Director General, CBI and Dr Alison Vincent, Group Chief Information Officer, HSBC.

Please note that due to the excellent speakers, the fantastic network of fabulous women (and a couple of fortunate men), excellent food and ridiculously good wine, demand is always high. This is an invite only event, if you’d like to register your interest, please email SWEvents@cbi.org.uk
