Chris sits in the Economic Intelligence team the CBI, where he is involved in forming the economic outlook for the UK and using this to inform members, as well as wider CBI work.
Prior to joining the Economics team, Chris was an Account Manager at the CBI, tasked with supporting medium-sized businesses and ensuring the CBI's policy work reflected the challenges they face.
In Christopher's spare time, he is studying a MSc Economics at the University of Birkbeck and has undertaken modules on subjects such as econometrics, forecasting and monetary policy.

CBI, Senior Economist
Chris analyses a range of UK economic indicators and data, including regular CBI surveys, using this to formulate and update an outlook for the UK economy which is then communicated to a range of external and internal stakeholders through presentations and written products.
He is responsible for the quarterly GDP 'nowcast' and contributes towards the CBI's bi-annual economic forecast, including forecasting the outlook for key markets.
Chris provides ad-hoc economic analysis for a range of CBI work including reports and briefings.
