HR professionals are invited to join us for the first of our series of HR Dinners this year.
Since the UK voted to leave the EU, it has become clear that the Free Movement of EU workers will not continue to operate in the future as it has in the past. This has created uncertainty for EU nationals currently working in the UK, and uncertainty about business’ ability to hire from overseas in the future. The Prime Minister has also suggested that the UK will retake control of employment laws that were previously enforced by EU law, while protecting workers’ rights.
We will be joined by Matthew Percival, CBI Head of Employment. Matthew will outline the key issues for HR arising from Brexit, offering the latest intelligence on what systems could replace the Free Movement of Workers and potential for changes in employment law. He will also give an update on other key HR issues currently affecting companies such as the apprenticeship levy, the National Living Wage, the Taylor review of modern employment practices, mandatory gender pay reporting and broader education and skills issues.
