Join us for an informative and engaging evening with fellow Finance Director's and CBI's Chief Economist, Rain Newton-Smith.
We are delighted to welcome the CBI's Chief Economist, Rain Newton Smith for a private dinner on the 5th June, to discuss the key challenges and opportunities facing the local economy. Rain leads the team that provides all CBI's economic analysis and our prestigious surveys.
The UK’s short-term economic outlook has become more uncertain in the aftermath of the vote to leave the European Union. As the focus shifts from market movements to the impact on growth, Rain will provide insight into how sentiment and conditions are evolving.
The dinner is sponsored by eir Business NI and will form part of the CBI's Finance Directors Network. As investment spend continues to dominate many Board agendas, we will be keen to hear how eir is transforming the productivity of some companies by providing the architecture to make digital the DNA of their business. It has challenged the Northern Ireland private and public sectors to reinvent themselves, rather than risk being left behind, in order to take advantage of the fast-changing global knowledge economy and opportunities presented by new technologies. This challenge comes as the company unveiled customer research and industry analysis of the future economic and technology landscape in conjunction with the Ulster University at its 10th anniversary celebrations recently.
Join 16-20 finance directors for high level networking and insighful discussion. A drinks reception will commence at 6.00pm with dinner being served at 6.30pm. Proceedings will conclude no later than 8.45pm. The evening will be chaired by CBI Director, Angela McGowan.
