Megan Baddeley CBI Principal Economist, will provide a general Economic Briefing which is aimed at helping you understand developments in both the domestic and global economies so you can plan and make informed decisions for the future.
We will discuss our key priorities around a stable framework on tax and regulation, the outlook for the UK and global economy; taking into consideration, ongoing political change and the Brexit negotiations.
Barnett Waddingham will share their latest report into the impact of pension obligations on companies based on FTSE350 data. With a particular focus on companies based in the Midlands, Barnett Waddingham will combine the insights from the report with the wider economic challenges identified during the earlier discussions, and will highlight potential future developments and the possible implications for these, typically historic, pension commitments. This will provide you with an opportunity to discuss with peers how, if at all, pension risks are impacting on your plans for growth and consider the typical actions being taken to manage and address these risks.
