CBI Northern Ireland Policy Roundup - April 2015

  • Employment Law: The long awaited Reform Bill is now expected to be introduced into the Assembly in early June. We will hold an information event for this, through our HR Masterclass series, on the morning of 23rd June. Policy contact: david.fry@cbi.org.uk
  • Impact of Social Clauses: The Strategic Investment Board has recently commenced a strategic review of their use in Northern Ireland. We would be keen for your feedback and experiences of these to inform our submission to the review – preferably by the 28th April. Policy contact: david.fry@cbi.org.uk
  • eTendersNI - A new, improved, online tender system for public sector contracts is being launched by CPD – and anyone who tenders for government procurement opportunities in Northern Ireland, or wants to in the future, is being urged to prepare for the changeover. Because the new system sends alerts for opportunities in areas where suppliers have registered an interest, registrations on eSourcing NI are not automatically carried forward.  Registration on eTendersNI is now openBy registering now, suppliers will get alerts in areas of interest as opportunities start to come online. The registration process requires suppliers to use their Dun & Bradstreet number, which is a unique nine digit code to identify a business, to ensure that each organisation is only registered on the system once. CBI Members will receive a personalised update monthly via e-zine (last Thursday of every month)
