In October, the CBI held its first Black History Month event which explored how businesses can drive innovation through diversity. We were joined by Flora Coleman (Transferwise) , Tom Illube (Crossword Cyber Security), Payal Vasudeva (Accenture), Joanna Abeyie (Hyden) and Melanie Eusebe ( Black British Business Awards).
The evening sparked discussions on the value of data, of adapting to generation Z and the meaning of inclusion. Watch our interviews with the panellists to find out what diversity means to them and why they believe diversity in the workplace is beneficial to business.
In its response to BEIS proposals to change employment practices the CBI stressed that the flexible labour market has delivered for the UK and that good work can be both flexible and fair if it is underpinned by transparency and effective enforcement mechanisms.
