Since started in 2005, the awards have grown in influence and impact and enjoy the support of many of the UK’s leading firms, industry bodies and inspirational business leaders.

Henrietta highlighted the need to look “beyond boards” and for more women to be represented at the executive level of our biggest companies.

She highlighted the CBI’s voluntary target of 25% female senior executives at our major businesses and pointed out that 50% of those taking part in the CBI’s Leadership Programme last year were women, helping prepare them for the step up to board level.
