Helen Gbormittah

Helen joined the CBI in 2014 as Associate Director in the CBI's London office, before relocating to the North West in 2016 working as Deputy Director for the region until her appointment as Acting Regional Director in May 2025.

Helen is responsible for engaging with and representing business leaders on key policy and regulatory issues affecting the North West region working with a diverse portfolio of members including many in the professional services, education and manufacturing industries. In addition to account management, she is responsible for commercial sales in the region.

Helen is Co-Chair of the CBI's Working Families Network and sits on the Business Advisory Board for Cheshire & Warrington. 

Prior to joining the CBI Helen has experience at organisations such as the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) and retail insights provider Planet Retail.

Helen holds a degree in German and Cultural Studies from Manchester Metropolitan University and spent time living and studying in Vienna.
