With September marking the end of the ‘quiet’ summer period and the start of term, there is plenty to update members on across the education and skills landscape.
Already this month we’ve seen a Spending Review and we’ve had a phone call with the new Education Secretary, Gavin Williamson, to discuss the CBI’s priorities before a full meeting later this month.
Good news for education in the Spending Review 2019
Education and skills were a major winner in the government’s spending priorities for 2020-21, announced last week. The CBI welcomed the significant additional funding for schools and further education.
