As debate around the transition to net zero continued to grow, the Energy & Climate Intelligence Unit (ECIU) wanted to demonstrate its contribution to the UK economy through robust, independent analysis.
CBI Economics assessed the scale and impact of the UK's net zero economy, finding that it contributes £83.1 billion in GVA, supports nearly one million jobs and grew by 10.1% in a single year.
