Industrial Strategy Roadshow

The government will publish Invest 2035, its industrial strategy, in June 2025. The strategy will focus on eight high-growth sectors, as well as the foundational sectors that keep the UK economy moving.

CBI members take their role in supporting the industrial strategy seriously.

With that in mind, the CBI has partnered with Lloyds to deliver the Industrial Strategy Roadshow, a year-long programme of events, speeches, and activity in the year following the Strategy’s launch in June 2025.

The Industrial Strategy Roadshow builds on the CBI’s industrial strategy work, including the CBI’s response to the Invest 2035 consultation, (November 2024) the Blueprint for UK Competitiveness (November 2024), and two roundtables co-delivered with DBT earlier this year (January-February 2025). The CBI also joined the Industrial Strategy Engagement Forum (2024); hosted a Dinner Discussion with Gareth Davies, which focused on industry support for the Growth Mission (January 2025); and gave evidence to the Business and Trade Select Committee (February 2025).

The CBI wants to help the government work more closely with business to deliver a successful industrial strategy that works for all of the UK—every sector, every nation, every region. The Industrial Strategy Roadshow is designed to help make that a reality.
