CBI responds to Labour vision for future of UK business

“After a year like no other, Labour is right to focus on how best UK businesses in all parts of the UK can be supported so that we truly shift from crisis to recovery.

“Exploring ways in which UK enterprises – large and small – can succeed in public procurement and lift standards makes sense. It’s also important that we remain an attractive location for Foreign Direct Investment.

“Reshoring is a topic that has been at the forefront of UK businesses for some time. And with the disruption we have seen to global supply chains in recent times, businesses are reconsidering how they can make their own chains more resilient. Reshoring of some economic activities by business can certainly be an element of that.”
