Government must take action to unleash potential of 5G

Josh Hardie, CBI Deputy Director-General, said:

"5G is a game-changing technology that will transform people’s lives and raise UK productivity. Thousands of innovative firms are investing heavily in digital infrastructure - that’s why Government must take action now to unleash 5G’s potential.

"Policymakers can now work with businesses through expanded government trials to help firms learn more about how to exploit this technology. If they do, the UK will  see billions added to the  economy and end the digital divide felt in many rural areas across the UK."
