The Future Leaders Network is CBI Scotland’s platform for the next generation of business leaders. Acting as a shadow board to the CBI Scotland Council, the network brings together rising stars from across our member firms to tackle Scotland’s big business, policy, and economic questions from a fresh perspective.

Who we are looking for
- Rising leaders with a genuine interest in Scotland’s business, economic, and political landscape.
- Individuals already showing leadership potential but not yet at C-Suite level.
- Nominees familiar with their organisation’s operations and keen to engage in discussion and debate.
- Members able to commit around 3 hours per quarter to attend in-person sessions across Scotland.
What you can expect
The network meets quarterly. Sessions include:
- Political and economic updates from the CBI team
- Opportunities to hear directly from guest speakers and policymakers
- Discussion of policy and business priorities, aligned with the CBI Scotland Council agenda
How to nominate
Each CBI Scotland member organisation can nominate one Future Leader. We ask members to reflect our commitment to diversity and inclusion in their nominations.
Your nomination should include:
- Candidate’s name and job title
- A short outline of responsibilities
- Why they are suited to the role
