London Summer Reception
Carolyn Fairburn sat down with the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan to discuss businesses role in tackling some of London’s biggest issues, including reaching net-zero, housing and opportunities for all, at CBI's London Summer Reception. The CBI also discussed how opportunities for young people are the cornerstone of a safer London.
Members of the audience posed their questions to the Mayor, on topics including the future of London's construction industry, the Apprenticeship Levy, Brexit and immigration.

On a final note, last week we were invited to provide evidence to the London Assembly Economic Committee on apprenticeships. We discussed the contribution apprenticeships make to the economy, how the Levy system can be improved and how we must make sure they are available to all. Watch the video.
