The last month has certainly been “interesting” on the politics front. First, prorogation – or not, following the Supreme Court’s ruling - is on again until the Queen’s Speech on 14 October.
Then off to Brighton for the Labour Party conference (hear Josh Hardie's reflections), then Manchester for the Conservative Party conference where the Prime Minister outlined his proposals for a deal with the EU ( hear John Foster’s reflections).
More locally, I am very much looking forward to seeing many of you at the Teesside Business Dinner next month, if you haven’t booked yet, do take one of the last few places. Book your tickets.
Unusually, at this late stage, we have some places available for our Finance Director Network event next week (17 October), it’s a great opportunity for FDs in the region to meet their peers and discuss and resolve common issues. Do join us, book here.
