I am delighted to be able to announce the full speaker line up for this year’s CBI North West Annual Dinner, on the 13 November. Joining CBI President, John Allan CBE,on the evening will be:
- Shadow Secretary of State for Education (subject to parliamentary business), Angela Rayner MP
- Founder of Founders4Schools, Sherry Coutu CBE
- Liverpool JMU Interim Vice Chancellor, Mark Power.
With over 250 business leaders, senior political representatives and business media from across the region, this dinner gives you the perfect opportunity to network and celebrate. It truly is an occasion not to be missed.
Become North West Regional Councillor
Regional council elections take place in October, and I anticipate approximately 8 places to be up for election. Over the summer, please consider if the role could be right for you or a colleague.
As the CBI is driving the diversity agenda (both gender and BAME) very strongly across the board, I would ask you to help support this by seeking out high calibre individuals who both represent your business and help meet this diversity objective.

Get Involved
The CBI policy teams have many initiatives underway that members will want to influence. You’ll find them all listed on My CBI, but can I please draw your attention to these two?
- Addressing regional imbalances in the UK economy
We're responding to the Treasury Select Committee inquiry on the nature of regional imbalances in economic growth and the use of regional economic data and forecasts. Can you help inform the debate?
- Shape the future on local decision making and regional growth
Help shape the CBI’s report to government which will call for more clarity on the future of devolution to allow all parts of the country to benefit. Share your views
