Before you head off on your summer holiday please plan ahead for Q4 and organise your CBI event bookings. Do book early for the CBI Northern Ireland Annual Lunch (at the Culloden on 24 October). CBI President, John Allan CBE will be joining us and is the perfect opportunity to strengthen customer relationships, network and connect with your sector peers.
Please take advantage of this early notification as the lunch is also open to non-members and will sell out.

Future of the Northern Ireland economy: Last week, I had the honour of being asked to deliver the Sir George Quigley lecture at Dublin City University. It seemed particularly apt to speak on the ‘Future of the Northern Ireland economy’ in an institution that is preparing young people for the world of work.
Digital Roundtable: CBI NI held two digital skills roundtables in June and July, hearing from the Department for the Economy and Invest NI. We will continue that industry-government collaboration as we work towards developing an action plan for digital skills in Northern Ireland.
Absence of Ministers in NI set to cost the local economy approximately £940m
In March this year CBI’s Future Leaders Forum requested that the CBI compile a list of significant projects across Northern Ireland that have been negatively impacted by the lack of a local Executive. This list was sent to political party leaders along with the CBI’s economic analysis. Read the briefing.
