I am delighted that John Allan, CBI President and Chairman, Tesco will be in the region on 6 November for our Economics Briefing. Over dinner, John will provide a political briefing and a ‘state of trade’ update will be provided by Chris Hare, Economist, HSBC. Of course there will be plenty of time for networking too. All CBI members are entitled to a complimentary place. Register here
As the University of Bath are partners for this event, we have a small number of places held for older teenagers (GCSE and A-Level ages) to attend as your plus one. If you’d like to engage a young person in politics and the economy there is no better way than a free meal! Contact either Ben Rhodes or myself to discuss.
MSB Network: Trade with China, Guy Dru-Drury, CBI’s China chief
Guy will be visiting Swindon, Cheltenham and Taunton for a series of member roundtable events specifically for MSBs on the 26 and 27 November.
Guy will share his unique geopolitical insight on UK, US and WTO tariff regimes with China, as well as providing some analysis into China’s economic forecast and its implication for future trade.
