Having heard Maggie Aderin-Pocock, scientist, communicator and broadcaster speak, I am delighted that she will be joining us as our keynote speaker at the CBI’s South West Annual Dinner on 17 October in Bristol.
With CBI Deputy Director-General, Josh Hardie, also speaking it is an opportunity to hear his first-hand insights and analysis of what's really going on in Westminster, just two weeks before the proposed Brexit date!
Brexit Roundtable with Carolyn Fairbairn, CBI Director-General
Last month Carolyn heard evidence from 200 companies in one week across the UK, that she then took straight to No.10. Thank you to everyone that came together at such short notice in Bristol. Through your messages, it was clear that the CBI should:
- Continue to work with government to deliver what members want most - a deal
- Champion access to talent as a priority for all firms, whether you are in food production through to creative and the arts.
- Be clear that business is willing and ready to support the government to create a domestic agenda that will help deliver prosperity for all
