The CBI’s latest government response sets out the importance of night flights to the UK economy.
Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, flights during the night have been critical to keeping the UK’s supply chains operating, keeping businesses moving, and ensuring that medical supplies, like crucially needed PPE, are delivered.
In the CBI’s submission to the Department for Transport’s consultation on the future regulations governing night flights, we are clear about the detrimental impact that limiting night flights would have on the UK economy.
As the government pursues its strategy for Global Britain, we urge them to view night flying as a key enabler of international trade, and a vital part of future UK competitiveness.
