Working together: the CBI/ Pertemps Network Group 2017 employment trends survey

Now in its 20^th year, the CBI/Pertemps Network Group employment trends survey provides an annual snapshot of the latest labour market trends and business sentiment.

The survey, carried out between September and October, reveals a positive picture with UK firms expecting to continue creating new jobs of all types. Despite higher inflation, we also see businesses working hard to increase pay. However, this is balanced against softening confidence in the competitiveness of the UK labour market as a place to invest and employ people. Our survey also shows that businesses are more committed than ever to creating fair and engaging workplaces.
