Rahim Mohamed

Principal Tax Adviser

Rahim Mohamed is a tax policy professional with a background spanning both the public and private sectors. He joined the CBI in 2023 and leads on business rates, green taxes, and digital taxation. Rahim started his career at BDO LLP where he spent five years advising clients on corporation tax and transfer pricing across a range of industries. He swapped tax practice for government policy, spending four years in the Civil Service (Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy) where he helped shape manufacturing policy and the rollout of the Made Smarter programme to the West Midlands. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a master’s degree in Political Science.
