Seize the Moment is the CBI’s strategy for the UK economy. The Seize the Moment report identified six areas of opportunity for the UK economy, which together could be worth around £700bn.
Each month we feedback on the work each programme is doing, what it might mean for your business, and how you can get involved moving forward, feeding in your business’ views.

Supporting FTAs
As part of our work to support Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations and Market Access, Andy Burwell joined Chief Negotiator, Charlotte Hayes, in Mexico City to ensure the UK maintains access and wins new opportunities in Mexico. Andy also attended the Atlantic Future Forum in New York City to engage on national security and international policy. Read more.

- October 2022 marks the second anniversary of Change the Race Ratio, a campaign initiated by the CBI to champion racial and ethnic minority participation in leadership roles. Boosting workforce health
- The CBI’s Health team hosted the third workforce health index workshop with DWP, NHS, DHSC & OHID to support the development of a tool to support business progression on their journey to a leading workforce health offer
- We are developing the Occupational Health roadmap to help firms understand and improve where they are in their journey and consider next steps.
