I’m pleased to share news of the return of the CBI’s People and Skills policy briefing. While people issues remain at the forefront of the challenges businesses face in responding to COVID-19, other issues are rising back up business and government agendas.
Over the summer we reprioritised and delivered more regular opportunities for members to discuss issues in virtual rooms – roundtable-style sessions where members can share best practice and learn from others on important topics. We’re still hosting them every month, so if you haven’t joined one before and are interested in discussing HR issues with other businesses, then please contact your account manager.
A new Job Support Scheme
The CBI’s top policy impact this month has been securing the Job Support Scheme (JSS), a successor to the Job Retention Scheme. It is built largely on a model proposed by the CBI and is designed to support businesses who have staff back to work part-time. While the
