Anna Leach
Deputy Chief Economist
Anna Leach is the CBI Deputy Chief Economist and heads the CBI Economics suite of member and client services, including the CBI’s economic intelligence and survey capabilities, the CBI’s bi-annual macroeconomic forecast and the CBI Economics consultancy services.
She leads a team of economists, economic consultants, survey specialists and data analysts, who work together to form the CBI’s understanding of the UK’s business environment and provide bespoke economic analysis to clients.
Anna has worked at the CBI since 2008, when she joined as a Fiscal Economist working on the CBI’s Budget submissions and public finance analysis. She moved on to head the economic analysis team in 2012, leading on the CBI’s assessment of near-term economic conditions. She previously worked in the Government Economic Service in various roles at the Department for Work and Pensions and HM Treasury.
