Technology has an ever growing presence in our day to day lives, and businesses are becoming increasingly more reliant on tech to drive their enterprise forward and to make a number of efficiencies. With AI being more readily implemented into HR practices such as recruitment, managing remote workers, performance management, conduct and productivity, there are clearly benefits that can be drawn. Whilst this is the case, the introduction of AI is not without its drawbacks, a number of which can cause potential liabilities- a balance needs to be struck. 

As People Managers, thought needs to be given to the extent at which you implement AI into HR practices, having consideration to the potential legal issues (such as discrimination claims, unfair dismissal claims), which we will explore throughout the session. We will also discuss a number of key cases that have recently hit the headlines. 

We will be joined by Charlotte Nuttall and Caroline Shafar of Ward Hadaway LLP to discuss the pros and cons of AI in HR practices, and the conversation will be facilitated by Damian Waters.
