PEOPLE AND SKILLS NETWORK (SOUTH WEST)

The CBI’s People & Skills Network is a local and national cross-economy network for senior leaders with an interest in the people agenda and the future of work. It exists to promote the diffusion of political intelligence and ‘what works’ insights on the top workforce issues of the day. This is achieved through a combination of in-person networking and intelligence sharing events in each of the UK’s regions and nations, and whole-community events that drill deeper into topics like recruitment, engagement and retention in a tight labour market, how to have impact when investing in skills, and creating an inclusive workplace.

Post pandemic and with hybrid working being commonplace, creating and maintaining a thriving, dynamic workplace culture has become a challenge for business leaders and employees alike. Many are looking for recent examples of good practice when it comes to developing a meaningful workplace culture.

Giving organisations the insight needed, the ability to speak in confidence about your own workplace culture challenges and offering some solutions from both the CBI experience and that of your peers could prove helpful as you work on your 2024 strategic plans.

We will be joined by Emma Connolly, CBI Talent Development and Management Director, who has led a lot of the CBI’s own work in this area and the conversation will be facilitated by Matt King, Associate Regional Director.

We would like to thank our host for this event, Barnett Waddingham.
