Carolyn Fairbairn, CBI Director-General, said:
“The gender pay gap data needs to be analysed properly before drawing conclusions, but limited progress would be a real concern.
“What we can tell already is that many organisations need to be more open about their plans. Publicly reported action plans should be mandatory - not as a tick box exercise, but as a genuine way to find different approaches that work for different challenges.”
