Seize the Moment is the CBI’s strategy for the UK economy. The Seize the Moment report identified six areas of opportunity for the UK economy, which together could be worth around £700bn.
Each month we feedback on the work each programme is doing, what it might mean for your business, and how you can get involved moving forward, feeding in your business’ views.
Decarbonisation
Challenging the government's Energy Security Strategy
- The CBI’s Decarbonisation Council met with the government to discuss UK energy security, find out what happened

Supporting global decarbonisation
- Last year the UK launched its Clean Green Initiative to support developing countries to take advantage of green technology and grow their economies sustainably

On 30 March, the CBI hosted the first Trade in Services Council, a new industry-led body championing the importance of services trade to the UK economy, and identifying common barriers to trade across different sectors.
